As part of our decision to wind down Playbook, we’re reaching out with important information about your Playbook-managed accounts (such as your Roth IRA or brokerage account). Effective immediately, Playbook Adviser will no longer provide investment advisory services. You have 30 days to transfer your funds to another broker. We want to make this process as smooth as possible, so here’s what you need to know:
How to Transfer Your Funds
You can transfer your assets to another broker using the ACAT (Automated Customer Account Transfer) system. You’ll need to start the transfer outside of the Playbook app (i.e. in your new broker’s platform). Most brokers handle ACAT transfers, and the process typically takes 7-10 business days to complete once you initiate it. To get started, you’ll need the account number from your Playbook monthly statement. This will be required by the receiving broker. (Additional FAQ for Executing an Outgoing ACAT)
Where to Find Your Documents
To access your account documents, simply log in to the app and head to Settings > Documents. There you’ll find everything you need, including your most recent statements and tax documents.

What Happens After 30 Days
If you haven’t transferred your funds by the end of the 30-day window, we’ll begin the process of liquidating your holdings. After liquidation, the cash value of your account will be sent to your linked bank account on file. If no bank account is linked, we’ll mail a check to your address.
Apex will also send final statements, trade confirmations and tax documents to the email address linked to the account.
